In this latest Books to Binge, I talk about why you need to read The Gunslinger. Stephen King's The Gunslinger is the first book in the Dark Tower Series and connects all of King's literary works. The story follows Roland Deschain as he chases down the man in black to get more information about the Dark Tower. Along the way, he Jonathan Jake Chambers and he must decide whether to continue his quest to the tower or to stay and protect Jake.

This is one of my favorite books and I reengage with it every few years. If you have ever felt trapped by what is right and what is convenient or pulled to do something you don't know how to then you will connect with Roland Deschain, son of Stephen, last gunslinger from the inner baronies.
